Modernisation and digitisation of irrigation through technology

Given the strategic importance of water and the need to face the adverse effects of climate change, the Government of Spain presents the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) for the Digitalisation of the Water Cycle, which aims to achieve a complete modernisation of the water cycle in order to achieve more sustainable management.

Who is it aimed at?

The estimated high demand for water in Spain and the main uses of this resource, such as irrigation, agricultural uses, urban supply and industrial use, is a reality.

In this third monograph we want to raise awareness of the importance of this precious resource and its use in our country, and to highlight the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (Proyecto Estratégico para la Recuperación y la Transformación Económica (PERTE) for the Digitalisation of the Water Cycle, promoted by the Spanish Government, as a measure to improve water management.

Aim of the monograph

In a context of climate change, water scarcity and concern for sustainability, technology and innovation become essential tools to solve the challenges faced by organisations.

With our third monograph we want to know the current situation of the sector, the vision of different agents and contribute to promote digitalisation and the benefits it brings.
