Technology as a lever in the water optimisation

Technological progress and the advent of digitalisation in the management of the full water cycle provide a substantive impetus for achieving the sanitation targets set in the Sustainable Development Goals on access to adequate sanitation and hygiene.

This monograph, which also focuses on the subject of water and aims to commemorate World Water Day on 22 March, aims to publicise technological solutions that contribute to solving water management challenges.

Who is it aimed at?

This monograph is aimed at anyone interested in accelerating the digital transformation of the integral water cycle to achieve a more efficient management of this resource, as well as agents involved in the water sector and representatives and technicians from public administrations.

Aim of the monograph

The digital transformation of integrated water cycle management is a necessary step towards the optimisation and sustainable management of water resources worldwide.

Therefore, we want to show, through the different voices that collaborate in this publication, how a strategic and responsible investment in technology allows for more efficient management and more informed decision-making at all levels of the water cycle, as well as the agents along the chain, from the individual user to the water supply manager.
